Our Team

Our CEO - Alexander Tsiaras has blended his expertise in science, art, and journalism to become a technology innovator and celebrated author in the field of medical imaging and personalized medical technologies.

Alexander Tsiaras is a visionary leader in the field of health content creation, renowned for his visually stunning and scientifically accurate depictions of the human body. As the founder, CEO, and editor-in-chief of TheVisualMD, he has spearheaded the development of cutting-edge imaging software that captures every stage of human development in breathtaking detail.

His work has earned him widespread recognition, with covers of Time, The New York Times Magazine, Life, and the London Sunday Times Magazine featuring his remarkable visuals. In addition to his artistic and journalistic talents, Tsiaras is a self-taught mathematician and physicist, who has invented his own lenses for capturing images of the human body. These lenses have been used to photograph groundbreaking events such as the first human eggs in an in vitro fertilization program and to visualize fetuses from outside the amniotic sack.

Tsiaras has also received funding from NASA to develop virtual surgery software, enabling astronauts to receive robotic surgical procedures during deep space flights. His work has been honored with numerous awards, including the World Press Award, Webby, and the Satava Award for his contributions to medicine through advanced technology.

As a highly sought-after speaker, Tsiaras has delivered keynote presentations at prestigious conferences such as TED, TEDMED, Ink Conference, and Molecular Imaging 2020, as well as lecturing alongside Stephen Hawking at the MIT Media Lab. He is also an accomplished author, having published several books on human development, health, and the marvels of the human body.

By introducing StoryMD and +StoryMD Health platforms in 2017, he is revolutionizing the medical record landscape, empowering individuals to “Own Yourself” and take control of their health by importing both clinical and behavioral data from wearables. He has transformed traditional medical records, which have long been stagnant repositories of patient information, into engaging personalized visual narratives that users can comprehend, take action on, and use to guide the trajectory of their well-being.

Our team is geographically dispersed, sourcing the right talent from different locations, enabling fast development process over multiple time zones.
